Women's collegiate flag football has continued to grow in popularity since the first NAIA teams began competing in 2021. The map below shows all 125 current club and varsity teams that are competing for the 2025 season and are color-coded by their primary governing body affiliation. Club teams are colored cyan. If a club or varsity team is missing from the map below, please let us know!

Please note that club teams are included, however, very few club teams have a dedicated page on their school's athletic website. We would like to provide as much information as possible for club and varsity programs, so please reach out if any team is missing or to provide corrections. We've also provided a list of future women's flag football teams for reference.

List of Current Teams

For all teams with a women's collegiate flag football in 2025, the table below provides information related to each school and its governing body (NCAA, NAIA, etc.), the conference the flag football team competes, and the athletic website. Schools without a known flag football conference are classified as independent teams. The table is searchable and can be sorted by affiliation, flag football conference, or school name.

There are currently four NCAA and NAIA conferences that sponsor the sport for the 2025 season: the CIAA (D-II), Atlantic East (D-III), KCAC (NAIA), and the Sun (NAIA). A fifth league was announced by the NFL's Minnesota Vikings that involves six schools from Minnesota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. That league is unnamed but is referred to as the "Vikings League" in the table below.

Three more NCAA conferences have announced they will sponsor the sport in 2026: Conference Carolinas (D-II), Empire 8 (D-III), and the United East (D-III).
